Although I would like to see them put a little more thought into the design, I am a fan of the minimalistic aesthetic, so that doesn’t bother me much. In general, the website is well-organized and easy to navigate.
However, the advertisements on this website are what really irritate me. Without a doubt: A pop-up ad appears when you click almost anything. Every video, every category, every tab, the play button on videos, and even the search bar are free of nonsense. Worse yet, in order to get the site to do what you want, you have to click on each item twice or three times. In contrast to other websites, which may display a pop-up when you click, but at least direct you to the desired location on the website. Even on the first click, this one does not function. Even if the first click was on a Kiss Jav video thumbnail, it could just as easily have been on an advertisement. I detest this to pieces.
I probably spent like a few minutes simply attempting to sort out some way to get a fucking video to play in light of the fact that tapping on „close promotion and play“ does the very inverse — it opens another advertisement and doesn’t fucking play. In this day and age, when there are thousands of pornographic websites to choose from, this is absurd and, frankly, unacceptable. Kiss Jav, there is a lot of tough competition out there, so if you want to stay, you should really up your game.
In addition, there are more conventional advertisements on every page you can muster the patience to click into, in addition to all of this click-ad fraud. On the home page, advertisements can be found in the margins, below videos, on top, and when you pause the page. Ads are present in every place you can imagine. Absolutely unbelievable.
Does the quality of content uploaded by users have to be sacrificed?
Okay, let’s talk about the content of Kiss Jav now that I’ve gotten that crap out of my system. It has a lot of amateurish quality about it. That may or may not be the result of Japan’s porn industry. However, I do recall seeing extremely high-quality JAV content on other websites, so it’s possible that Kiss Jav’s preference for user-uploaded content is the reason for this. I won’t lie, there is definitely content on this site that is well-shot, well-thought-out, and executed, but there are two issues I had with it: 1.) It typically does not feature actual Japanese women fucking, but rather solo nude modeling or masturbation, and These videos are extremely rare.
Again, Kiss Jav may not be to blame for this. This could simply be a result of the murky legal ramifications of the porn industry in Japan.
